Corporate Identity department 
The Corporate Identity department located at the Head Office in Zeist consists of three disciplines; Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs and Corporate Strategy. The focus of the Corporate Communications discipline is on the relationship between the Bank and society, mainly via the media, with the objective to ensure a true, transparent and balanced image of the Bank. Triodos Bank’s vision, approach and position have given the Bank international recognition as a reference point in values-based banking, a solid reputation, and a strong brand. Safeguarding, managing and maintaining this is vitally important. Being on top of current developments, news and topics, which might impact the Bank’s reputation, vision or policies, is one of the key priorities for Corporate Communications.

International Head of Corporate Communications, objective & responsibilities
The International Head of Corporate Communications is considered an expert within the discipline of corporate communications and is an acknowledged authority in order to act as a sparring partner for local branches, business units, the Executive Board as well as within the department. Reports to the Director Corporate Identity, has an open line to the CEO (and other Executive Board members) and will work closely with internal stakeholders like local Heads of Corporate Communications and the Marketing department(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the spokesperson for Head Office (CEO and other Board members);
  • Manage, proactively, the Bank’s group-wide reputation;
  • Manage and coordinate group-wide external communications including: 
      • developing and executing the group-wide strategic communication plan, 
      • managing media relations (prepare and review interviews, speeches, articles, events), 
      • responding to all kinds of inquiries by media and other stakeholders, 
      • coordinating, writing and publishing press releases;
  • Coordinate and monitor tone-of-voice and consistency of corporate content across the international branches and business units of the Bank;
  • Manage and coordinate group-wide relationships with various stakeholders, including identifying opportunities for stakeholder and communications events at group level.

International Head of Corporate Communications, profile

  • Fully committed to and able to represent the core values, mission and roots of the Bank;
  • Relevant academic degree;
  • Extensive work experience (> 10 years) in the corporate communications area (including being a corporate spokesperson), within a international setting (preferably in the financial/banking sector); 
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Proven ability to gain trust and credibility at all levels based upon expertise;
  • Strong team player with ability to organise and get things done;
  • Experienced in leading professionals;
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills;
  • Ability to see the big picture, and switch quickly from abstract to practical details;
  • Open, inspiring and culturally sensitive.

Applicants must be nationals of a European member state or have a valid work permit for the European Union.

Other information
The employment is on a permanent basis, starting with a one-year contract, based on 32-40 hours a week. The location of the office is Zeist, The Netherlands. Triodos Bank offers good terms of employment. Terra Management Groep can inform you about the applicable working package.

Terra Management Groep recruits and selects applicants and will present a selection of motivated candidates to Triodos Bank. Interviews at the Terra office will take place in July and August. Followed by a selection and nomination process at Triodos Bank.
